Most internet providers run a credit check before they will serve you. We hold a $100 refundable deposit instead. No Social Security number, no hard inquiry, no waiting for approval.
The only qualification is the deposit
- Pay a $100 deposit. Collected once at checkout alongside your first month. It is not a fee. It is held while you subscribe and refunded when the modem comes back.
- We ship the modem. Free shipping to any address in the United States. The SIM card is already inside and activated to your plan.
- You're online. Turn it on near a window and join the wifi. Nothing to approve, nothing to schedule.
What we never ask for
To sign up, you need to be at least 18, have a shipping address in the United States, and have a valid payment method. That is the complete list. We do not ask for:
- A Social Security number
- A credit report or credit score
- Proof of income or employment
- A previous provider's account history
- An address eligibility check
Why we skip it
A credit check tells a provider whether a stranger is likely to pay. A refundable deposit tells them the stranger already did. One method costs you a hard inquiry, your personal data, and possibly a denial. The other costs you $100 that you get back.
We chose the second one, and we charge the same deposit to every customer on every plan. There is no risk tier and no higher price for a lower score.
The deposit, in full
We hold $100 and give it back when you send the modem home.
The modem remains Beakom property. When you cancel, return it within 30 days using the prepaid label included in the box and emailed to you on cancellation. The full deposit is refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days of receipt.
Cosmetic wear is fine. A modem that is cracked, water damaged, or missing parts is not a returned modem. An unreturned or damaged modem is billed $150 to the card on file. This is disclosed before purchase, at checkout, and on every receipt. Full terms are on our Payments & Deposits page.
Built for people who are tired of being screened
- Rebuilding credit. A rough year in the past should not decide whether you can work from home today.
- No credit history. New graduates, new arrivals, and lifelong cash payers. No file is not a bad file.
- Renters and movers. No new application every time the lease ends. The modem moves with you.

Frequently asked questions
Does the deposit affect my credit? No. We do not report deposits, payments, or account activity to any credit bureau.
Is there a higher price for customers with poor credit? No. Every customer pays the same plan price and the same $100 deposit.
Can I pay the deposit in installments? No. The deposit is collected in full at checkout.
What if the service does not work at my location? Cancel from your account, return the modem within 30 days, and the deposit is refunded. See our Refund Policy.
Do business customers skip the credit check too? Yes. The Business plan uses the same deposit and the same rules. No business credit application and no personal guarantee.
